Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about early childhood education and wishes to contribute positively to the educational journey of young learners using the Reggio Emilia approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Learning Experiences: Assist in planning and implementing engaging learning activities consistent with the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
- Classroom Management: Help maintain a safe, clean, and inviting classroom environment that encourages children’s exploration and discovery.
- Observation and Documentation: Observe and document children’s learning processes, contributing to their individual learning portfolios.
- Collaborative Work: Work closely with lead teachers to develop and implement curriculum that reflects the interests and needs of the children.
- Family Engagement: Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate effectively with families about their child’s progress and experiences.
- Professional Development: Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth in the Reggio Emilia approach and early childhood education.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Knowledge, experience, or strong interest in the Reggio Emilia approach.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
