Tanzania Posts Corporation (TPC) ‘Posta’

The Tanzania Posts Corporation (TPC) is a national designated public postal operator established by Act of Parliament No. 19 of 1993 and became operational on 1st January, 1994. The Corporation is wholly owned by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. The principal function of the Corporation is to provide universal postal and ancillary services within and between places outside the United Republic of Tanzania.

The Corporation is looking for suitably qualified Tanzanian citizens of high personal integrity to fill the position of contract Driver.

DRIVER GRADE II (7 POSTS)

QUALIFICATIONS

Holder of Form IV Certificate.
With valid Driving License Class C1, C2,C3 and E who has attended basic Driving Course offered by VETA or any recognized Institution.
Driving experience of not less than one (1) year without causing an accident.
Possession of Trade Test Grade II/Level II in Motor Vehicle Maintenance/ Mechanics is an added advantage.
Possession of Machine/Crane Operator licence is an added advantage.
Should not be more than 45 years of age.

DUTIES

To drive Corporation vehicles for administration purposes.
To maintain log-books for each and every trip.
Responsible for safe-keeping of the vehicle and tools entrusted to him.
To maintain driver’s required discipline.
To maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and tools.
To report promptly any defects or problems detected in the vehicle.
To attend minor repairs and reports.
To adhere to maintenance schedules and
To carry out other duties related to his field as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

DUTY STATION

Successful candidates should be ready to work at Dar es salaam Region.
