Librarian Responsibilities:

  2. Manage material collection, preservation, and acquisition.
  3. Maintain and maintain the library website with connections to internal and external sites, such as the company’s blog, social media accounts, and online press releases.
  4. Keep the library’s online catalog up to date.
  5. Investigate, analyze, and purchase novel materials.
  6. Manage the budget and economics of the collection.
  7. Discuss library policies and procedures with new staff and ensure that they are followed.
  8. Other responsibilities may be allocated.

Requirements And Skills:

  1. A minimum of three years of experience working in a public library, preferably in a professional services capacity such as reference, information technology, or management.
  2. Knowledge and experience in the delivery of information resources, including reference and resource sharing services
  3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products for creating, editing, and sharing.
