HR World Limited on behalf of our client we are looking for a MEP Manager who will be responsible for managing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Low Voltage engineering activities of assigned projects in order to achieve cost effective technical solutions which enable corporate goals and objectives to be met.

RESPONSIBILITIES;
- Management of (Contract) MEP/FP Consultants: Provide technical oversight and direct project management associated with designs prepared by contracted consultants. In conjunction with the contract Architectural firm, jointly manage the MEP/FP consultant’s contract including evaluation of invoices to comply with budget. Also, jointly manage (with Design Manager) the drawing production process to ensure accuracy and compliance with project schedule. Provide oversight to ensure compliance with the company’s MEP Criteria and best Engineering practices.
- Construction Administration: Support Project Manager and contract MEP/FP consultant through construction observation, submittal evaluation, the review of tenant plans (in conjunction with Tenant Coordination) and interfacing with tenant’s engineers as appropriate. Monitor work for compliance with the company’s MEP Criteria and Best Engineering Practices.
- Answer technical questions for Maintenance Management, Tenant Coordination, Risk Management and other departments. Review drawings, specifications, RFP’s, bid proposals, etc. and provide feedback as required.
- Interface regularly with Energy Services and Procurement for purposes of evaluating new products (i.e., light fixtures, meters, switchgear, etc.) and providing technical input whenever national contracts are bid.
- As requested, provide technical feedback and recommendations to the Head of Sustainability regarding opportunities for implementing sustainable initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS;
- Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of Engineering experience including, but not limited to Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire protection, controls, lighting systems and energy management.
- Professional Registration Preferred
- A working knowledge and understanding of hospitality design.
- A general knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Protection (MEPFP) codes and design conventions.
