DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- Daily updating and monitoring of cash flows and taking appropriate actions.
- Prepare daily and monthly cashflow forecast.
- Review and monitor bank transactions and balances. Arrange for bank transfer on need basis.
- Review and approve all payment documents before they are submitted to the bank signatories for signing.
- Enforcing process of requisitioning, identification of suppliers, delivery/collection of goods or services, safe storage of the goods and processing and streamlining of supplier payments.
- Ensure every payment voucher is attached with all support documentation before submitting to directors for approval.
- Create payees and set up online bank payments.
- Cash withdrawals from the bank.
- Daily review of collections to inform weekly/monthly collection forecasts.
- Ensure average debtor collection days are at 45 days and chasing payment due.
- Always ensure we have updated statements from our suppliers on monthly basis.
- Updating accounts payable and perform reconciliations before processing and disbursing any payment.
- Ensure all expense advance/ imprest accounted for have receipts attached before submitting to directors for approval.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as Finance or Accountant.
- Prepare payroll and share payslips with staff.
- Process staff salaries.
- Passing salary control journals in Quickbooks and reconciling.
- Process all statutory payments (PAYE, WCF, NSSF, SDL).
- Review all returns (TDL, VAT, W/Tax, Corporate tax self-assessments, provisional tax, Service levy) and file before due date.
- Reconciling VAT, TDL and withholding tax account in Quickbooks on monthly basis before filing.
- Ensuring that the company remains compliant in all matters (Statutory, Tax, Licences, Brela and others).
