Responsibilities
- Perform pre-start checks and help the driller with rig checks.
- Throughout the shift, conduct down hole equipment checks.
- Maintain trailer stock levels while keeping the supervisor informed of incomings and outgoings.
- Cleaning and maintaining all equipment to the highest standards is a priority, as is keeping all workstations clean.
- Ensure that best practices are followed to keep the site safe.
- Identify any hazards and immediately notify the driller or supervisor.
- Participates in a toolbox meeting and reports any safety issues or violations that have been observed or observed.
- Always be completely aware of changing situations on the shift, particularly those that jeopardize safety, and report such conditions to the supervisor as soon as possible.
- Listens to, comprehends, and executes work orders from the

Qualification requirements
- Secondary school education is standard.
- Heavy mobile equipment operation/offsider/spotter abilities.
- Mines Health and Safety Act Education.
Experience and competencies needed.
- Basic Mines Health and Safety Act knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English
- Identification of Hazards and Risk Assessment
- Driving Capability and a valid driver’s license
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a related industry
- Machine operation experience in any large underground mining operation.
