Mihan Gas Company Limited (MIHAN GAS) was the original name of Taifa Gas Limited (TAIFA GAS). The company was first established as a limited company under the Companies Ordinance (Cap 212) in the United Republic of Tanzania in 2005 with certificate of incorporation number 52508, and it invested in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for two years before starting operations in 2008.
After being taken over by new investors in 2017, the business changed its name from Mihan Gas Company Limited to The Gas Company Limited in 2019 to better align with its updated vision and mission.
As evidenced by its LPG cylinders and other associated equipment, The Gas Tanzania Limited conducts business under the names The Gas and Mihan Gas. In Mwanza, Mbeya, Moshi, Dodoma, Singida, Morogoro, Iringa, Kahama, Kigoma, Songea, Njombe, Manyara, Bukoba, Geita, Tabora, Musoma, Arusha, Sumbawanga, Tanga,
And Shinyanga are the other twenty operational depots of the Gas Company. The last stages of construction are underway for two depots: Mwanga and Lindi. The business offers equal employment opportunities. Women are therefore highly encouraged to apply.
