QUALIFICATIONS TO GET FUNDING
This scholarship will be awarded to sixth form graduates with the following qualifications:
- Be a Tanzanian;
- Have a high performance in the sixth form national exams in 2023 conducted by NECTA in science specialties;
- He/she has been admitted to a Higher Education College in this country that is recognized by the Government in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Medicine programs that are mentioned in the first group (Cluster 1) in the Higher Education Student Loans Board’s Loan Guide for the year 2023/2024 available through www.heslb.go.tz
- Have applied for funding correctly in the prescribed manner,

FUNDING AREAS
Funding will adhere to the standards and guidelines of the Higher Education Student Loans Board to cover the following areas:
- (a) Tuition Fee
- (b) Food and accommodation allowance
- (c) Books and Stationery Allowance
- (d) Special Requirements Faculties
- (e) Practical Training
- (f) Research
- (g) Assistive devices for students with special needs
- (h) Health Insurance
FUNDING PERIOD
The students who will be funded, will be paid between three (03) to five (05) years according to the relevant program they were admitted to.
THE PROCEDURE THEY ASK YOU FOR FUNDING
SamiaScholarship applications will be submitted to the Higher Education Student Loans Board through the internet https://olas.heslb.go.tz for 14 days from September 25, 2023.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ FINANCING CONDITIONS
A student who will receive SAMIASCHOLARSHIP funding will be responsible for complying with the following conditions:
- (a) He should read, understand and sign the Scholarship Agreement Agreement between himself and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology;
- (b) He should have a Bank account for the money to be paid directly to him.
- (c) The Beneficiary will not be allowed to change the study program he received funding without a written approval letter from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology;
- (d) The beneficiary will not be allowed to postpone studies, except for health reasons, and confirmed by the relevant college;
- (e) If the beneficiary cancels the scholarship opportunity before starting the studies, he/she must submit a written notification to: Secretary General, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Government Town, Mtumba Area, Health Street, S.L.P10,40479 DODOMA, TANZANIA. Email: ps@moe.go.tz
- (f) If the beneficiary’s performance level falls below GPA3.8 during the academic year, the funding will be terminated;
- (g) The Beneficiary should register in the Student Management System (Students Management System) available through https://scholarships.moe.go.tz/
IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
- (a) This funding is one hundred percent, the limit of which will be based on the guidelines of the Higher Education Student Loans Board.
- (b) The list of names of the relevant students is available through website www.moe.go.tz and www.heslb.go.tz
