Applicants or loan beneficiaries with questions or complaints should follow procedures outlined at the help desk of the loan application window.
Loan Recovery
After graduating from secondary education, the beneficiary of the loan will be required to repay all his loan with a deduction of not less than fifteen percent (15%) of his monthly salary or a rate not less than TZS 100,000.00 per month for a Beneficiary who is self-employed in the informal sector. If the beneficiary is dismissed/discontinues studies, the entire loan will be repaid in a lump sum. All loans are subject to a one percent (1%) operating fee on the basic debt of the beneficiary for one time.
TRANSFERRING A COLLEGE OR PROGRAM WITHIN THE COLLEGE
In case the Beneficiary of the loan changes the study program within his/her college, His credit/entitlements will be transferred by HESLB after receiving confirmation from the college his. HESLB will not make payments to students who transfer to other colleges of their choice or to move to non-priority programs mentioned in item 6 of this guide. A loan transfer will not change the pre-arranged loan amount except where the student has been transferred by the authorities.
