The Energy and Water Services Regulatory Authority (EWURA) announces the price limit for petroleum products in this country that will be used from Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 6:01 p.m. For the month of December 2023, the retail prices of fuel in the regions of Dar es Salaam, Tanga and Mtwara are as follows:

For the month of December, 2023 oil prices (FOB) on the world market have decreased by an average of 0.86% for gasoline and 9.11% for diesel oil. In addition, the costs of importing fuel (premium) for DSM Port have decreased by an average of 24% for petrol and 30% for diesel; and for Tanga Port, the cost of importing fuel (premium) has decreased by 30% for petrol and 17% for diesel. Mtwara port did not receive the oil cargo.

The change in oil prices for the month of December 2023 is due to the decrease in crude oil prices in the world market by an average of 8.72% and the cost of oil imports by an average of 27% for gasoline and 23% for diesel. Retail fuel prices in cities, districts and regions are as shown in Table No. 1 and general fuel prices are as shown in Table No. 2.
Retailers of oil products are required to sell oil at the prices shown in Table No. 1. In addition, traders of oil products in general are required to sell oil at the prices shown in Table no. 2. Strict legal measures will be taken against any trader who violates this ORDER.
